Fishing and other activities around the campsite at Bagnac-sur-Célé
In addition to a beautiful, relaxing setting, there are plenty of activities on offer.
- A supervised swimming pool, open in the afternoon in high season, supervised bathing in July and August.
- Children’s games, for everyone’s enjoyment
- An athletic course for the most assiduous
- Horse-riding, hiking and cycling tours
- Canoeing down the Célé
- Tennis, soccer, pétanque, table tennis, badminton
- Fishing (hand-fishing pontoon)

Fishing friends, welcome!
The Célé and its tributaries are ideal for all types of fishing:
- fly and toc fishing on the upstream Célé, Rance and their tributaries.
- fishing on the lower reaches of the Célé and most of the lakes;
- no-kill fishing between Figeac and Bagnac-sur-Célé.
Special arrangements have also been made for people with reduced mobility, or for anglers seeking greater comfort. Competitions andintroductory fishing courses are also regularly organized, especially during the summer months. On the borders of the Cantal and Lot départements, the Célé no-kill course allows both amateurs and the more experienced to enjoy over 1.2 km of a wide, diversified river (calm, flowing zones, etc.).

Other things to do in the Lot region, in the immediate vicinity of the campsite:
- Visit the Moulin des Conturies (historic site and monument)
- Market on Place du foirail every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Cross the Célé river on the Romanesque bridge dating from the XIᵉ century
- Visit Saint Peter’s church, dating from the XIIᵉ and XIIIᵉ centuries, which dominates the village.

From the campsite, discover the “sentier des gâches
Duration: 3 h 00, 12 KM, Yellow markings
This trail takes you back to Gallo-Roman times, with its bridge and archaeological remains…. At La Font fraîche, where the spring once fed Bagnac, the medieval bridge with its arcades and humpbacked shape dates back to the 13th or 14th century. The stone statue of the “headless lion” is enthroned at the entrance. Already, the path to Caffol, lined with majestic oaks, invites the autumn hiker to pick fragrant porcini mushrooms. On the hilltop, the beautiful village of Billoux catches the eye with its clustered settlement and handsome manor house. Typical farming hamlets dot the route: Lauzeral, les Gâches, Pempeu with its 19th-century porch.

The historic circuit of Bagnac-sur-Célé
This walking trail invites you to step back in time and discover the history and heritage of the charming village of Bagnac-sur-Célé, located in the Lot department at the gateway to the Auvergne. Easy to access and pleasant to walk, this trail takes you through ancient streets, emblematic buildings and panoramic views over the Célé valley.
The Trioulou circuit.
The interest of this themed trail, mainly in the undergrowth, lies in the creation of panels along the way on the wonderful world of bees and in the panoramic views: Bagnac-sur-Célé, the Maurs basin (Cantal), Saint Santin and the limestone hillock of La Garenne.

Linac – The three Veyre footbridges (10 km – 12 km – 18 km)
This beautiful hike from Linac, nestled in the heart of nature, takes you on a journey of discovery through the green landscapes of the Veyre valley, between undergrowth, meadows and peaceful streams.
The Lac du Tolerme is located 20 km from the campsite in Latronquière.
Nestled in a verdant setting in Latronquière, in the heart of the Lot Ségala region, Lac du Tolerme is an oasis of freshness and nature just 20 km from the campsite. With its 38 hectares of peaceful water surrounded by forests, it’s a popular spot for swimming, walking and outdoor activities.

GR65 Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela
Discover the various hiking and mountain bike trails around the campsite, including part of the GR65, which links Le Puy-en-Velay to St Jacques de Compostelle. It lies 8 km south of the campsite, and the Montredon – Figeac section is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Lot tour
Rich in quiet country roads and a network of footpaths, the Lot offers a privileged space for those who take the time to wander and stop… to look.
On foot, on horseback or by mountain bike, this itinerary awaits you to take Le Tour du Lot at your own pace along a unique route. It will enable you to discover all the riches of the Lot’s natural, architectural and cultural heritage on a trip that can last from 7 days for experienced mountain bikers to around 20 days for walkers…
Undergrowth paths of the Bouriane and Ségalamajestic viewpoints over the Dordogne or Lot valleys, stone-lined paths on the causses, where numerous flocks of spectacled ewes graze peacefully, the Quercy Blanc with its chalk that colors the earth, the stone and the paths, small villages with roofs of lauzes, a warm welcome, a remarkable natural and built heritage… here’s the program to discover gently and in the light.The Ségala has to be earned… you’ll have to climb a lot in this hilly landscape… a land of streams, undergrowth, green meadows, lakes and distant views… we’re here on the foothills of the Massif Central.
First of all, the wide valley that runs alongside the Bave and narrows down to Terrou, an unusual little village and starting point for numerous hikes.
Then the route climbs higher, crossing various streams (Contournes, Nadal, le Bervezou, la Veyre…) and finally leading into the Célé valley at Bagnac and its campsite! The route then climbs back up onto the plateau to reach Figeac, home of Champollion and a city of art and history… on the banks of the Célé.

From the campsite, we offer a range of circuits of varying length and difficulty.
Whether you’re an amateur, a beginner or an expert, the choice is yours for discovering our region.
Ride in the Célé valley, in the Lot valley, in Ségala, next to the paths of St Jacques de Compostelle, cover 3 départements in a single outing! Close to Figeac, the Cantal mountains in Auvergne and Aveyron.
We can suggest a number of routes and, above all, we can tailor-make a tour for you.
Here are some examples of easy outings with loops of less than 50 km, to visit Figeac, the Segala or the hilly roads of the Cantal. Discover the Lot and the Célé valley between 3 departments, or the Cantalien chestnut grove.

Riding schools and horseback riding
The equestrian center at Caffoulens, 6 km from the campsite in the direction of Figeac, welcomes you for a day or an evening ….. with professionalism and conviviality.

Nature sports activities
- The Bagnac-sur-Célé equestrian center at the Caffoulens educational farm in Viazac, on the way to Figeac. The Caffoulens farm offers horse-riding based on simplicity and contact with the horse, sporting rides, Indian days.

13 km long, the largest artificial lake in Auvergne covers the former Vallée de la Cère over an area of 563 ha.
Its 69 m high arch-weight dam is a hydroelectric power station built in 1945. The lake is ideal for family activities: jet-skiing, beach volleyball, lazing on the beaches or supervised swimming, a 124 m-long Himalayan footbridge linking the beaches of Espinet and Rénac… something for every member of the family! - Beaches with supervised swimming in July and August:
